The Taconic Mountains are a 150‑mile sub‑range of the Appalachians spanning New York, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. They feature narrow ridges, steep valleys, and peaks up to 3,850 feet, including Mount Equinox. The Taconic Range is home to Mount Greylock in Massachusetts (3,489 ft).
